Like many retirees, my client had down-sized from a larger single-family home. Years worth of memories were left sitting in moving boxes as she lacked appropriate display space in her new home. With the additional wall space, a solution appeared. My client asked me to design and construct solid wood floating shelves custom built for her space. As you can see, these shelves not only provide her with enough space to display her collectibles, but they also provide her additional room to expand with family photos and new treasures as her needs change. This client lives in a condominium unit where space is at a premium. The builder had installed a large electric fireplace in this corner of her living room which, although attractive to look at, gobbled up valuable real estate. My client asked me to remove the fireplace in order to reclaim much needed entertaining space. The new open floorplan provided her with a large expanse of newly-created wall space.
